The gallery above is a series of pics from my student days I was recently reminded of. I’m actually still rather fond of it, actually. Visually it’s got a strong painterly effect, and the inversion of colors gives the whole thing a dream gone nightmare kinda feel.
It was produced very differently from a lot of my work, using a method I just don’t have ready access to these days without an enlarger. Each of these images was a Polaroid instamatic shot, which was then ripped open and gutted and the cellophane layer with the emulsion used as a ‘negative’ in a color enlarger. Final shots were developed on Kodak RC paper.
